Apple and walnut salad with maple syrup and cinnamon dressing
Ingredients
1 Granny Smith green apple, cut into thin wedges
50g walnuts
1 Tbs maple syrup
1 Tsp coconut oil
A pinch of cinnamon
A pinch of pink hymalayan salt
Method
In a pan, toast the walnuts without anything on medium heat for 5 minutes. Keep tossing them in order to prevent them from burning
Once toasted, add the maple syrup on top of the walnuts into the pan, sprinkle with cinnamon and salt, and toss
In a serving plate, add the apple slices, then the caramelized walnuts
Finally, in the empty hot pan, add the coconut oil to deglaze all the flavors and pour the resulting juice onto the serving plate
Enjoy as a starter or as an afternoon snack
